United Way to Offer January 24th Allocations Workshop

United Way to Offer January 24th Workshop

United Way of Greater Plymouth County will host an informational workshop for any non profit organization or partnerships of non profit organizations interested in applying for United Way funding for FY 2013 (July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013). The workshop will take place on Tuesday, January 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Stonehill College’s Martin Institute located at 320 Washington Street in Easton, MA.

Request for Proposal (RFP’s) packets will be available at the workshop.  Consistent with United Way Worldwide (formerly United Way of America) United Way of Greater Plymouth County provides funding in three core areas: Education, Health, and Income with specific need areas that have been identified by the local communities in greater Plymouth County. Request for Proposals must address one or more of the six community-defined urgent need areas, demonstrate a capacity to collaborate and leverage additional resources, and to provide meaningful and measurable community impact in these need areas. These core areas and their corresponding locally defined community need areas are:

Education
After School/Child Care/Early Childhood Development

Life Skills/Job Training

Health
Access to Healthcare/Health Insurance/Prescription Coverage
Domestic/Youth/Community Violence

Income
Housing/Homelessness
Basic Needs (Emergency Services)
