Letter to the Editor

On behalf our volunteer Board of Directors, our small but dedicated staff, and the hundred other volunteers that have worked on this year's campaign, I would to thank the 125 local and regional businesses and the 300 leadership givers who have together invested their payroll deductions, corporate contributions, and other gifts to this year's United Way campaign. Though our annual campaign has not officially ended as we are still actively involved in conducting campaign presentations, we feel it is most appropriate at this time to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of the citizens and business owners in the greater Plymouth County for supporting our mission "to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our communities".

I would also like to express our appreciation to those 240 people who completed our community needs assessment surveys. These surveys, along with public forums, and with conversations with other key stakeholders in our communities, give us vital information as to how the resources generated through our United Way campaign should be directed to meet the most urgent needs of our neighbors. Because of you, your United Way is making a real difference in the lives of men, women and children in our neighborhoods who need help the most. Thank you.
