Director of Resource Development

Laura is our Director of Resource Development effective February 11, 2021. Previously, she served as our Donor Engagement Specialist since October of 2019. Laura works to raise money for Live United Recovery Fund. This fund is used for emergency needs such as rebuilding and recovering our communities due to the devastating impact COVID has had on our families. Laura has been working to raise money through Non-Profit Fundraising from different organizations for 12 years. After experiencing a different angle of helping families, Laura missed doing the work and wanted to jump back in to direct fundraising.
Laura is passionate about being able to make a difference through building relationships, organizing help, and raising money – whatever the case may be, whether it is in the form of a warm winter coat or a roof over their head.
Laura feels she really made a difference when working with the ALS Association before the Ice Bucket Challenge was born. Seeing those who have been impacted by ALS, a very severe implication, go through what they have and continue to go through, is terrible. Being able to help those impacted by fundraising, planning events, and giving them a day of hope and connections with other families made her feel like she truly made a difference. Laura strives to make these types of differences daily in her work. If Laura could make one big, positive change to the world – it would be to see the kindness and good in people always shine through. During trying times filled with hate and judgement, to be able to pull forth the good in people and make changes would be her goal, along with making a change so that no child would ever go hungry.
Laura is married and lives with her husband and two sons in Bridgewater. While she once played collegiate soccer, she now enjoys watching her sons grow and play sports and do what they love to do!
