Robert is our Local Consumer Advocate with our Local Consumer Advocacy Program. He started with us in September of 2024. In his role, Robert helps members of the community to remedy consumer complaints filed through the Attorney General’s Office.
Robert chose this position because he was looking for a career more in-line with his values that would enable him to use his education to help people. His favorite part of the job is being able to make sure the local community is not being taken advantage of by businesses.
From his perspective, the Family Center is different from other service agencies because it is a warm and welcoming family atmosphere that tries its best to tackle all the problems an individual may come to us with.
If Robert could do one thing to make a big, positive change to the world it would be to guarantee housing, healthcare, and food for all. Robert feels he truly made a difference in his work throughout life during a past job that involved recruiting for clinical trials.
Robert attended UMass Amherst for an undergraduate program where he majored in Communications and minored in English. He also completed a Film Studies Certificate. After working in both retail and digital marketing, Robert went back to school to get his MFA in Writing in Film and TV from Emerson. The Pandemic hit during his graduation year. In his free time, Robert enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as his rescue dog named Sugar. Robert enjoys movies, reading and manga, and trying new places to eat.
