Victoria is our DEC Case Manager. She began with us in January of 2024. Her responsibilities span across many tasks as she works with parents, agency staff, and community partners to bridge the segregated treatment system into a more holistic care model by providing support across the multiple systems and frameworks of care for families impacted by substance use disorders throughout Greater Plymouth County.
Victoria chose the Family Center because she shared a personal vision similar to our goals: to help the incoming immigrants and her current community with resources no matter their current stage in the U.S. Her favorite part about her job is the opportunity to help clients with their concerns or their needs. “The idea of being one of the people that can help make a change” of their current story, condition, or lives in general.
In her opinion, the Family Center is different from other service agencies due to our vision for the Brockton Community and the zeal to ensure that the Brockton residents are equipped with many resources for the vision they carry for themselves as residents or foreigners in this country.
If Victoria could do one thing to make a big, positive change to the world, it would be to ensure people from different backgrounds, skin colors, nationalities, and ethnicities are treated equally in all areas of their lives and afforded all opportunities including education, employment or careers, and more. One time Victoria feels she truly made a difference in her community was when she participated in an initiative with a non-profit organization to help establish a foundation for the new incoming immigrants from various places around the world. This included helping their children become registered for school, after school programs, English classes, employment, and more.
Victoria is an immigrant from Haiti and a current Health Sciences and Health Care Administration college student. Her passion is to always serve her community, especially the Haitian Community. In her spare time, Victoria enjoys cooking.
