The CRA  (Child Requiring Assistance) Diversion is a service that helps youth who are having issues with the home, school, and/or community. A Family Partner and a Clinician work together with a family to provide assessments, resources, and referrals to both formal clinical resources and community programs. The Family Center of Plymouth County’s CRA Team attends court on Tuesdays in Brockton and Wednesdays in Wareham to meet families and complete intakes in the community. A family does not need to file a CRA to utilize this important and free assessment and referral program. Families and school personnel can call the Family Center directly to request assistance. 

 

Our Clinician is available on site to assist families in identifying their individual needs and help develop a family support plan. While Our Family Partner works with you and your family, along with our clinician, to develop the family support plan that best meets your needs and support you to achieve your goals. The School Liaison works as a resource to families, schools and the community. Together our team will work to increase overall student achievement and assist families in navigating the complex network of family serving systems and 

Any family who feels their child is at risk can call The Family Center to schedule an intake to talk about CRA services. 

Grandparents Raising Again: This is a peer led group for grandparents and kin raising children again. The group meets weekly on Tuesdays from 6-7:30PM. Supervised children's activities and dinner are provided. (Registration is required for childcare) For additional information and to schedule an intake for this group please call the Family Center at (508) 857-0272.
