Each September, United Way of Greater Plymouth County proudly kicks off its annual fundraising campaign with our signature Day of Caring - a longstanding United Way tradition that brings communities together through service and volunteerism.

This community-wide event welcomes more than 150 volunteers who participate in 12–15 hands-on projects supporting local nonprofits, schools, and community organizations throughout Greater Plymouth County. Projects typically last between four and six hours and may include landscaping, painting, beautification efforts, assembling supplies, organizing donations, and other much-needed service activities.

Day of Caring is more than just a volunteer event, it is an opportunity for individuals, businesses, and community partners to come together, strengthen local connections, and make a meaningful impact in the communities where we live and work. Through teamwork and service, volunteers experience firsthand the power of giving back and the difference we can make when we unite around a common purpose.
