United Way of Greater Plymouth County Celebrates $4 Million in Prescription Savings

United Way’s partnership with SingleCare delivers significant savings on prescription medications through its free, easy to use prescription savings card

Brockton, MA – January 20, 2022 – United Way of Greater Plymouth County (UWGPC) today announced that local residents in its 22-town service area have saved $4,000,000 on their prescription medications, thanks to its partnership with SingleCare, the prescription savings service that is helping millions of people lead healthier lives by providing access to lower prices on prescriptions. 

For 15 years, SingleCare (formerly FamilyWize), has partnered with United Way communities nationwide to help reduce the cost of prescription medications. UWGPC has proudly partnered with SIngleCare since 2007.  The free SingleCare savings card can help people immediately save up to 80% on prescription medications and can benefit all- those with without insurance, underinsured, or with prescriptions not covered by their insurance.  SingleCare partners with the country’s leading pharmacy brands, covering 35,000 pharmacies nationwide. There is no eligibility or registration required.

To take advantage of the savings that SingleCare offers, consumers can print a card from SingleCare.com, call (844) 272-9582 and request a card be mailed to them, or download the free SingleCare app.   Through the app, a consumer can look up the price of their prescription through SingleCare at their local pharmacies.  To receive or pick up a card locally, please call e-mail info@uwgpc.org.
