United Way Welcomes Community Connections Director Melinda Kneeland
Melinda Kneeland, Director of United Way of Greater Plymouth County’s Community Connections of Brockton and The Family Center
Brockton, MA – United Way of Greater Plymouth County is pleased to announce Melinda Kneeland will be joining its team in the role of Director of Community Connections of Brockton and The Family Center.
“We are thrilled to have Melinda join our United Way staff,” UWGPC President & CEO, Dennis Carman said. “She will oversee our Community Connections program and help our Family Center team in meeting their mission of strengthening families, building communities, and preventing child abuse and neglect.”
Melinda earned a Bachelor of Arts from University of Massachusetts’ College of Public and Community Service with concentrations in Human Services and Non Profit Management. She has 15 years of experience in providing community based services to youth, families and individuals. Most recently, she served in the role of Quality Coordinator at Brockton Area Multi Services, Inc. (BAMSI). As part of her position at BAMSI, she has also worked as Family Partner Supervisor at The Family Center in Brockton. Melinda is currently a Massachusetts Statewide Wraparound Peer Coach. She received the Association for Behavioral Health’s Salute to Excellence in Best Practice.
